A bigger, richer wine, the 2014 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel Les Falaises is based on 40% each of Syrah and Carignan, with 20% Grenache. This medium to full-bodied, ripe, layered and concentrated 2014 has plenty of dark fruit, obvious minerality and notable acidity. It's not as elegant as the Clos des Vignes, but is still a rock-solid effort to drink over the coming 4-5 years.
